I have decided to give up using the “f” word for lent… is this enough?
Yesterday we attended baby Jonathan’s baptism. His older brother Thomas had been baptized about a year ago and wore the same outfit that his Grandmother had sewn for the occasion, so during the ceremony… our other friends’ son got the two brothers a little confused and asked his mom, “Why did Thomas get little again?” PRECIOUS! Makes me really want a kid, for like a minute.

My Favorite Mug

It’s hard to have a bad day when I start my day off with my “Happy Good Morning” cup. I have NOT finished my lace stole, but am soooo close. I am so excited and ready for Spring. I have resisted the urge to plant too much since I’m not quite sure what’s already planted. We moved in before Thanksgiving so my whole yard will be full of surprises… the previous owners were pretty good gardeners. I will, however, toss out some cosmo seeds next to the pines. DH helped me build some window boxes yesterday…can’t wait to put them up and fill them.
Secret Garden
I have no idea what I planted. After moving into our new home in November I hastily tossed out some wildflower seeds, but can’t for the life of me rememember what I planted (or how to spell remember). My peach trees have begun to blossom and these mystery seedlings are sprouting up where I sprinkled them.
I’ve been working on my lace stole, but have been distracted by a couple washcloths and “Lopi Lace Scarf” from Weekend Knitting. I’m knitting it with Cascade Pastaza…50% Llama / 50% Wool. I’m considering getting some chickens, but I’m afraid of birds. I am seriously considering a worm composter since my dog Callie will most likely view a traditional compost heap as a buffet.
