I have been looking for the perfect chairs to finally finish furnishing the middle room… my search is over. Luckily these babies will be here before Thanksgiving. For the record, I was not too keen on two matching chairs… but DH sure was. The store manager poo-pooed my thoughts about this saying, "if everything is different, there's nowhere for the eyes to rest". I just stared at her, but really I was thinking, "well our eyes are usually resting on the damn television", but thought better about showing off in front of my husband who was miserable enough having been dragged to sit down on yet another chair in another store. Anyhoo, we'll have plenty of places for our holiday guests to sit and watch television.

November Love
Skye Tweed Vest for my father. I had 3 skeins of this heathered mushroom color but needed more. Luckily Cascade colors are prety darn consistent even in a different dye lot. I picked up a couple more skeins of this yarn at Yarnorama, where Susan suggested I alternate the yarns every two rows to make sure the colors blend. I guess even if they are so close, there's always a chance it could look weird. Cool tip.
Below are some images of my fall/winter garden.

Happy Halloween. I am usually one to vote on election day, but think I just may swing by my polling place this morning. Have you voted yet?
Any good plans for the weekend? It just dawned on me that Thanksgiving is very close and that I need to get back on the home improvement train. We lost a whole lotta momentum over the summer. I think painting a bathroom is the plans for the weekend.
