Lace_blocking Lovely_shawl
Some of you may have stumbled upon this blog while looking for other content…I was referring to whipping my lace into submission. A few tacks and a meat mallet (which sufficed until I found a hammer) and I was well on my way to having the wraps I’d wanted last summer. Note the gaping holes in the linen stole….if I wiggle the fabric just so they almost dissappear. The other shawl…just lovely knitted up in Blue Sky Alpacas – Dyed Organic Cotton Yarn “Aloe” or “Azul”.. it’s been so long.

Oooh, check out my Passion Vine

Barn Painting

View1 View2
So we’re still in the process of remodeling our 2nd living room. In our previous photos you can see (through the new french doors) my neighbor’s metal barn… which also happens to serve as a kind of courtyard wall. While we’ve always loved it, we decided to paint on it over the weekend. We will work on distressing the paint this weekend to give it an older feel…but I love it. Luckily we painted it near the end so if we need to paint more…we have the room, like a tattoo. I also think a short row of corn and sunflowers planted along to the wall might be a great idea.

I guess we could’ve done some actual construction work….but is H-O-T.
