I realize it’s not quite the dog days of summer yet, but we received some very sad news about our little man, Roscoe, this weekend. He has lymphoma and the prognosis is not a good one. We are beyond sad, very sad. We will do our level best to keep him happy and comfortable until it’s time to say our final goodbyes.
He’s already responding favorably to steroids, and realize he’ll have good days and bad days. As long as he finds pleasure in eating, looking for squirrels, and rolling around in the warm grass, we will shower him with as much love as possible. He has been an absolute joy for almost 12 years. Hard to imagine our home without him. We can only hope to repay him for his gifts of joy and hilarity with a peaceful and warm exit from this world.
So now I need to figure out what’s on Roscoe’s Bucket List…
I’m so sorry to hear this about little Roscoe. You’re such a good mommy to him.
As for the bucket list, does he like car rides in the country? Ground turkey? Probably, mostly he wants to be with you.

Thanks Earnie, All of the above, though only likes the rides once he figures he’s not going to the vet. I think he’ll get some solo walks before it heats up too much.
