I received a hank of Crystal Palace Cotton Chenille from my Secret Pal. I love this yarn for washcloths and actually had picked up some to send to my Secret Pal…hmmm…

Apparently I am a stray dog magnet. This sweetie, who I am calling Buttercup has decided she may want to live here. I’m doing what I can to find her a home. She followed us home yesterday when we were walking the dogs and refuses to leave, she also refuses to be locked in the yard….hmmm. She is sooo sweet, but am unsure about leaving her alone with my dogs. See “Labahoula’s” gallery at left to see the other critters I ended up fostering for almost a month. I am a sucker, plain and simple.
DH woke up Friday morning and announced, no proclaimed that he was going to have fun this weekend, he was tired of spending the whole weekend working on the house. What did we do instead? We hung sheetrock… like I was surprised. I did manage to finish (quickly with my morning coffee) a MDK Ballband Warshcloth…and have stash ready to knit some more.

I have just completely (yes, seems and all)finished my first baby sweater…replete with sweet little label. I ordered some cute little embroidered labels for my stuff. It has been raining every day this month, about 5 inches total in my yard…woohoo. I need to take some shots of my surprise plants…Crinum Lily. A friend told me they are also known as 4th of July plants, I guess not only because they look like fireworks, but seem to bloom around the 4th. Not sure I love them, but they are a nice surprise. I have learned that tropical plants fare well in my new hometown.
I am loving Mason Dixon Knitting!!! I’ve already begun the crazy lady work of looping a bunch of potholder loops and knittign a rug. I’ve been inspired and have started a rag bag to get crackin’ on some more rugs.
