One moment your life is a stone in you,

Mom

and the next, a star. These past few days have been all about the stone. My mother passed away Friday just a few short days after being diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer. She passed quickly and painlessly and my sister was by her side, as were a handful of my mother’s closest friends. All I can manage to do is clean my house . . .  control, just knit, control.

    I am so sorry to hear your news. I can’t begin to imagine the loss that you are feeling. Please know that I am sending prayers and good wishes to you and your family.
    I hope, one day, you will write more about your mom. She looks like an awesome person.

    Stacey;
    This is your “one skein” bud — I thought I would lurk a little to see what cool stuff you were doing, but I was so sad to hear about your mom. I lost my mother to lung cancer 3 years ago — it breaks my heart to know your lost your mom the same way. Thinking of you . . .
